Big Maks Hookah Bases

Big Maks is a Russian glassworks that makes plain, thick-walled bases for the modern-pipe market. No decoration, no color options on most models — the point is the wall thickness and consistent neck sizing, which is why it's the base most Russian stem brands ship with or recommend.

The Big Maks is what the lounge runs on its workhorse stems: clear enough to see the water line, heavy enough to stay put when a hose gets yanked, and cheap enough to replace without wincing. The Drop and Tradi shapes change the look but not the fit. Check your stem's base diameter before ordering, since Big Maks sells bare glass and the seal comes from the grommet.
